Manchester City have confirmed John Stones will be leaving the club this summer.

The England international departs the Etihad Stadium after ten-years, during which he helped City win 19 major trophies.

The 31-year-old has lifted the Premier League six-times with Pep Guardiola's side.

Announcing the decision on his Instagram profile, Stones said: "They say all good things must come to an end… but this thing we have had has been the greatest and it will remain a part of me forever 🩵"

Stones has made 293 appearances since joining from Everton for £47.5m in 2016.

Club officials say they will take the time to deliver a fitting tribute and farewell to "a superb servant of Manchester City Football Club" at the end of the season.
