Four arrested after stabbing at Swan Car Park in High Wycombe
The men, from Slough, Birmingham, and Manchester, remain in police custody
Four people have been arrested following a stabbing at the Swan Car Park in High Wycombe that left a 19-year-old man seriously injured.
It happened at around 12.30pm yesterday (23rd December).
The victim, who sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries, remains in hospital receiving treatment.
Officers have arrested a 19-year-old man from Slough and two 18-year-old men from Birmingham on suspicion of attempted murder.
They remain in police custody.
A fourth person, a 19-year-old man from Manchester, has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and is in police custody.
Police have lifted scene-watches that were put in place at the Swan Car Park and the nearby Eden Shopping Centre. However, there is currently an increased police presence in the area as investigations continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Sally Spencer, who is leading the investigation, said: “We continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and have made four arrests.
While this incident is concerning, we do believe at this current time this to be an isolated incident and want to reassure the public that this incident does not pose a risk to the wider community.
Whilst the town centre and Eden Centre are open as usual, there will be an increased police presence throughout the festive period to provide visibility and reassurance as our investigation continues.”
