Family pay tribute to 'funny, loving and caring' woman killed in Gorton crash

A woman who died in a crash in Gorton has been remembered by her family as "naturally funny, loving and caring."
Natasha Denman, aged 23, was one of two passengers who died following a crash on Hyde Road in Gorton on Wednesday 5th August 2026, Greater Manchester Police said.
In a tribute released through police, Natasha Denman's family said: "Tasha was a much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin. We, as a family, will never recover from her sudden and unexpected passing at such a young age.
"Our hearts are forever broken. We would like her to be remembered as the naturally funny, loving and caring person she was.
"She can rest peacefully knowing she will always be cherished. We would politely ask people to accept our request for privacy at this time."
A man has since been charged in connection with the crash.
Apollo Simms, 26, has been charged with two counts of death by dangerous driving and failing to provide a sample for analysis, Greater Manchester Police confirmed.
He has been remanded into custody.
Appeal for witnesses
Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw the moments leading up to the crash to come forward.
Police are also asking anyone with mobile phone, Ring doorbell or dash cam footage to get in touch.
