Firefighters remain in Hyde following Boxing Day fire
It's understood no-one's been taken to hospital
Firefighters remain on the scene of a fire at a property in Hyde, which broke out late on Boxing Day.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service been there since around 10:30pm last night (26th December).
Five fire engines were called out to Talbot Road.
It's understood no-one's been taken to hospital.
Fire fighters are carrying out safety checks and using gas monitors as they continue to battle the blaze.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 10.30pm last night (Thursday 26 December), five fire engines from Hyde, Stalybridge, Ashton, Gorton and Hollins fire stations were called to reports of a fire at a house on Talbot Road, Hyde.
“The fire involved the roof space of the property.
“Crews arrived quickly and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels, jets, and other specialist equipment to tackle the fire and bring it under control.
“Firefighters have carried out checks of the property and remain in attendance this morning.”
