Corrie stars to take part in this year's Manchester Village Pride Parade
Expect glitter and glamour as favourites from the soap will be getting involved - with this year's theme 'No Place Like Home'
Corrie stars will be dusting off their most fabulous outfits as ITV has announced to be joining join next month's Manchester Pride Parade.
The city’s iconic celebration returns to the Gay Village at the end of August, promising four days of parades, parties and performances.
The parade's theme is ‘No Place Like Home’, and anchors a series of events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
ITV Pride’s participation includes notable personalities from across the network, enhancing the parade's appeal and community spirit.
Manchester Village Pride, run by unpaid volunteers and structured as a Community Interest Company, emphasizes grassroots involvement with all funds supporting community services, LGBTQ+ charities, and event safety.
Carl Austin-Behan, Co-Director and spokesperson for this year's Manchester Village Pride, explained how the news underscores the strong momentum and unified celebration within Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community.
He added: “The support from organisations like ITV Pride demonstrates the growing momentum behind Manchester Village Pride and our shared commitment to celebrating, supporting and championing our LGBTQ+ communities in the heart of Manchester’s Gay Village and across the city.
“This year’s theme, ‘No Place Like Home’, is about recognising the Village as the historic home of Pride in Manchester, while making clear that Pride belongs to everyone. Seeing community groups, charities, businesses and organisations come together for the parade is exactly what Manchester Village Pride is all about.”

The deadline for parade entries has now been extended to 19th July.
Community groups, charities, and businesses still have the opportunity to register to participate in the celebration, embodying the community-led spirit of the festival.
