Child hit by moped in Denton moped hit-and-run

Police are still searching for the driver

A child has been taken to hospital after being hit by a moped in Denton.

Emergency services were called to Circular Road at around 6pm on 20th December.

The child’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told us:

“We responded to reports of a collision between a child pedestrian and moped on Circular Road, Denton at 6pm yesterday evening (20 December 2025).

The child was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries not described as life threatening or changing.

The moped is thought to have left the scene and enquiries are ongoing. The road closures have been lifted.”

The road has since reopened and police are continuing their investigation to find the rider.
