CCTV released after petrol bomb attack on Rusholme home

Police are looking to trace a car seen at the scene

Police investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Rusholme have released CCTV images of a car they are trying to trace.

Three children were in the house on Birch Hall Lane when it was targeted on Wednesday 05 February.

They managed to escape uninjured.

Detectives are yet to make an arrest, and are now asking anyone who saw the car in the images to get in touch.

Detective Constable Samuel Cullen of City of Manchester’s CID said: “Fortunately, no one was injured during this thoughtless attack.

“There were three children present in the address at the time, and the consequences could have been dreadful.

“I understand the concern that this will raise within the local community, I can reassure residents that we are investigating this crime with all resources that are available to us.

“If you saw anything suspicious on Birch Hall Lane at 9:25pm, or anyone with any information, is encouraged to call 0161 856 6247 quoting log 3389 of 05/02/2025."
