Appeal after men attack Warrington ATM with crowbar and angle grinder
Four unknown men travelling in a dark coloured car arrived at Marks and Spencer on Europa Boulevard on Friday - before stealing a quantity of cash
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an ATM attack at a retail store in Warrington.
Sometime between 12.25am and 12.50am on Friday (12 December), four unknown men travelling in a dark coloured car arrived at Marks and Spencer on Europa Boulevard, Warrington.
The men exited the vehicle armed with tools, including a crowbar and a large angle grinder, which they used to gain entry into the store.
Once inside the building they attacked an ATM machine and stole a quantity of cash.
The men then left the scene shortly before 12.50am.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and Cheshire Police are keen to hear from anyone with any information that may help their investigation.
Detective Sergeant Christian Gordon said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible.
“As part of our investigation we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area.
"We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage around the M&S car park and Ikea area between 12.25am and 12.50am.
“I’d urge anyone with any information – no matter how small – to get in touch.”
