A man has died following a house fire in Wood Green.

The fire broke out at a two-storey terraced house on Granville Road on Saturday night (26th September).

The London Fire Brigade said the whole of the first floor and half of the roof were destroyed.

A woman left the house before firefighters arrived.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Tottenham, Hornsey, Edmonton and other surrounding fire stations attended.

The Brigade's control officers took the first call at 22:15, and the fire was brought under control by 23:30.
