Two teenagers from Hertfordshire charged over Arnos Grove shooting

Two teenagers from Hertfordshire have been charged with the attempted murder of a 17-year-old in north London.

On Thursday 9th October 2025, emergency services were called at 5.04pm to reports of a shooting at High Road, Arnos Grove.

A 17-year-old boy was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The Met Police say his injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Benjamin Marmah, 19, of Richmond Road, Potters Bar, was charged on Saturday, 18 October and remanded in custody to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court the same day. He was arrested on Friday 17th October 2025.

Kitan Ojelade, 18, of Creswick Court, Hertfordshire, was charged on Thursday, 23 October and remanded in custody to appear at the same court the following day. He was arrested on Wednesday 22nd October 2025.

Both men were remanded to prison and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Friday 14th November 2025.

On Saturday 18th October 2025 a separate 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He has been bailed pending further investigation.

A Met Police spokesperson added the family of the 17-year-old boy who was injured have been made aware of this update and continue to receive support from specialist officers - and the investigation into what happened remains ongoing.
