Two people have been arrested after the death of a one year-old-girl in east London
She is believed to have come into contact with chemicals in a flat in Newham
Two adults and a six year old were treated in hospital after emergency crews were called out yesterday afternoon. Their injuries were confirmed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
A 41 year old man and a 26 year old woman are being questioned on suspicion of manslaughter. The pair are not known to the victim
The London Fire Brigade called police to Barking Road, Upton Park at around 13:20hrs on Tuesday, 28 October following reports of hazardous chemicals in a residential property.
The girl’s next of kin are being supported by specialist officers. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
It is understood the incident was not terror-related.
