Tributes paid to 26-year-old Nahom Medhanie after fatal shooting in Camden
Family asks for privacy following his passing
A fatal shooting in Camden has claimed the life of 26-year-old Nahom Medhanie, whose family has paid tribute to him.
The event occurred on Chalton Street late in the evening on 28th March when officers responded to reports of gunshots.
Nahom Medhanie was identified following a post-mortem on 31st March.
His family, supported by specialist officers, expressed, “Nahom was more than a son and a brother to us and since his passing it has been the hardest days of our lives.”
They described Nahom as funny and honest, recalling how his presence could light up a room.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
CCTV footage revealed that the suspect, arriving and fleeing on a bike, shot Nahom several times while he was in a white Nissan Juke.
No arrests have been made as enquiries continue.
