Appeal for witnesses after serious assault leaves man critically injured in Stratford
Police request public assistance following Penny Brookes Street incident
Police are seeking witnesses and information after a serious assault in Stratford left a man with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on Penny Brookes Street around 9:15pm on Saturday, 22nd August.
Upon arrival, police and the London Ambulance Service found a man in his 30s with severe injuries, who was then taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The suspects had fled the scene before officers could arrive, and no arrests have been made so far.
Detective Sergeant Justina Rackauskaite, leading the investigation, emphasised the urgency of identifying the circumstances surrounding the attack.
“We have conducted a range of enquiries and are now appealing for the public's help. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the Penny Brookes Street area that evening and may have seen something,” Rackauskaite said.
The police are particularly interested in obtaining CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage that might aid their investigation.
