Court hears details of fatal incident involving Mohamed Sherif

Mohamed Sherif, 54, has faced court proceedings charged with murdering Kerry Ann Goodbrand, who suffered a fatal fall from his Southwark flat window.
Ms Goodbrand, aged 31, was discovered with severe injuries on Rowcross Street shortly before 3pm on 21st August and was declared dead at the scene.
Evidence linking Sherif's apartment to the tragic occurrence included blood stains near a window and one of Ms Goodbrand's shoes found on the windowsill.
Sherif appeared via video-link at a preliminary hearing at the Old Bailey, conducted by Judge Simon Mayo KC, from Thameside prison.
The dates set by the judge include a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for 12th November and a provisional three-week trial commencing on 24th May next year.
During the hearing, Sherif confirmed his identity but was otherwise remanded into custody.
