Second arrest in Kilburn murder investigation

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old in north London have arrested a second man as part of their investigation.

Malakai Ferguson-Ramson, 20, died after being found with stab wounds in Ashmore Road, Kilburn, W9, on Tuesday 26 May.

A 21-year-old was detained on suspicion of murder in Wandsworth on Saturday, 30 May. He was taken to hospital as a precaution due to existing stabs wounds and will be transferred to custody following treatment.

The arrest comes days after a 42-year-old was questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the Met’s investigation, said: “This significant arrest comes as a result of our tireless efforts to identify those responsible for the murder of Malakai. While we continue to work at pace behind the scenes, I again ask that anyone with information contacts police as a matter of urgency.

“Our thoughts remain with Malakai’s loved ones as they continue to navigate their way through this deeply upsetting time.”
