Police seek key witness in Primrose Hill murder investigation

Officers investigating the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old student are appealing to speak to a young woman

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police have issued a public appeal to locate a key witness who was captured on film during a fight in Primrose Hill, moments before the murder of 21-year-old student, Finbar Sullivan.

The young woman or teenager is seen recording the altercation, which could provide crucial insights into the sequence of events leading to the fatal stabbing of the filmmaking student on 7th April.

She is depicted wearing a pink vest, blue denim shorts, and black trainers and is treated as a significant witness, having committed no offences.

Detective Inspector Andy Griffin, spearheading the investigation, stated: “My team continues to pursue several urgent lines of enquiry to establish why Fin tragically lost his life.”

“I believe this woman’s account of events, as well as the video she captured, will provide vital evidence. She has not committed any offence but we are urging her, or anyone who may know her, to come forward and assist our investigation. We need to speak to her as soon as possible.”

Appeal for Information

On the evening of 7th April, emergency services responded to calls about a fight at the viewpoint in Primrose Hill at 18:41 hrs. Upon arrival, Finbar Sullivan was found with stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene despite medical efforts.

Another individual, in his 20s, was discovered nearby on Regent’s Park Road and transported to the hospital with stab wounds. His injuries are confirmed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are keen to speak with the witness or anyone who possesses pertinent details about the incident.
