Police have launched a murder investigation after a boy who was stabbed in north-west London died in hospital.

Officers were called to the scene of the stabbing at around 10.30pm in Dudden Hill Lane, Dollis Hill, on Saturday.

Jamal Ringrose, 15, was treated at the scene for stab wounds before being taken to hospital, where he died on Thursday.

Detectives have now launched a murder probe and said Jamal’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, was charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, after being arrested on Tuesday.

He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, police said.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. The boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray, and remains in police custody, while the man has since been released on bail.

Detective Inspector Simon Ager, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the boy who very sadly lost his life.

“Officers have already charged one boy in connection with this terrible incident. However, our work continues and my team are pursuing several lines of inquiry.

“We believe many people were in the area at the time and ask anyone with information or footage to come forward. In particular, we’re seeking dashcam or mobile phone recordings from the street at that time.

“No detail is too small or insignificant. Please get in touch. Any footage can be uploaded here.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist officers is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 9258/30MAY, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
