Met officer denies charges of rape and grievous bodily harm
Inspector Jason Wu granted bail while case proceeds
Metropolitan Police Inspector Jason Wu has denied charges of two counts of rape and one count of grievous bodily harm with intent during a recent hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.
The officer, who is based in Colindale, north-west London, appeared in court solely to confirm his personal details.
The alleged offences reportedly occurred against a woman in 2019 and 2021, though Wu has indicated not guilty pleas to all charges.
The case has been transferred to Kingston Crown Court, where Wu is scheduled to formally enter his pleas on 28th August.
Originally reported to the Met in June 2022, these allegations prompted a thorough investigation by the force.
Wu, currently suspended from duty, has been granted conditional bail as the legal proceedings continue.
