Man killed in Newham shooting named by police
Forty-two-year-old Masum Miah was discovered in a car on St Bartholomew’s Road on Tuesday and died at the scene
A man who was found with fatal gunshot wounds in a car in Newham has been named.
Forty two year old Masum Miah was discovered on St Bartholomew’s Road in the early hours of Tuesday and died at the scene.
Masum’s next-of-kin continue to be supported by specialist officers.
No one has been arrested as detectives continue to piece together what happened.
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Masum’s family as they come to terms with his tragic death.
“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could assist out enquires to come forward.
“If you were in the area at the time of the shooting, witnessed anything suspicious or have any dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage that could support our investigation, we urge you to get in touch. No matter how big or small the information you have is, it could prove vital in helping us piece together the full circumstances.”
