Man in court charged with murder after Walthamstow house fire

A man is due in court charged with murder after two men died in a house fire in Walthamstow two years ago.

Metropolitan Police were called at 22:24 on Sunday 21 April 2024 to reports of a fire at an address in Forest Road.

Officers attended alongside colleagues from the London Fire Brigade.

Two men were sadly found dead inside the property. They were formally identified as 24-year-old Mohammed Djellal and Faouzi Bouchadoe, 35. Their families are being supported by specialist officers.

A murder investigation was launched by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command and murder charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service against Fouad Bouda, 25 on August 10 2025.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in France on Monday, 26 January. He was extradited to the UK on Thursday, 2 April after an international arrest warrant was issued by a judge on August 27 2025.

Fouad Boudra, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 3 April charged with two counts of murder, two counts of manslaughter, causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a third man and arson with intent to endanger life.
