A man has been charged with the murder of a pensioner in Camden.
Emergency services were called to a property in West End Lane on the morning of Thursday 5th March 2026 and found an 82-year-old man had died.
Billy O'Reilly, who's 53 and from Islington, is due to appear in court today.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
"A man has been charged with the murder after an 82-year-old man died at a property in Camden on Thursday, 5 March.
"Billy O'Reilly, 53 (27.11.1972), of Royal Free Square, Islington, was charged with murder on Friday 6th March 2026. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (Saturday 7th March 2026).
"The charge relates to an incident in West End Lane, NW6 at around 11:25hrs on Thursday 5th March 2026.
"Officers responded to concerns for the welfare of an 82-year-old man - when they arrived at the house, paramedics from the London Ambulance Service had confirmed he had died.
"The arrest took place inside the property, within minutes of police arriving on scene."
