Man charged following death of teen
The 20 year old is due to appear in court
Detectives investigating the murder of a teenager in Islington have charged a man.
Police were called at around 13:02hrs on Tuesday, 9 December to reports of a stabbing on Westbourne Road, Islington.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. Fifteen-year-old Adam John Henry was treated for stab wounds but, despite the best efforts of medical teams, he sadly died later in hospital. His family is being supported by specialist officers.
Tsidi Winion, 20 (28.08.2005), of Handyside Street, Camden, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Monday, 15 December. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 16 December.
Detectives continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Adam’s family at this incredibly difficult time. While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to contact police.”
