Man dies in Bromely house fire
An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze
A man's died in a house fire in Bromley.
Crews were called to Bishops Avenue just after 5.45 yesterday afternoon.
Half of the ground floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. One man was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews after suffering from smoke inhalation. Sadly, a further man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire was under control by 1818. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Beckenham, Sidcup and Old Kent Road Fire Stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
