Detectives investigating a shooting in Newham that left a man seriously injured have charged a man with attempted murder.

Omar Lynch 39, who was born on the 10th August 1984 and is of Elmers End Road, SE20, has also been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition

He is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Friday, 26 January.

The charges have been made following an incident on Monday, 22 January in East Road, E15.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with a gunshot injury, where he remains - his condition is not life threatening.
