Child dies after wall collapse at adventure golf course

A five year-old boy's died after a wall collapsed at an adventure golf course.

Emergency services were called to Sidcup Family Golf in south-east London on Sunday and the boy died in hospital yesterday.

A six-year-old girl was also hurt, but has now been discharged.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene in Chislehurst at around 6pm, and the five-year-old boy was rushed to hospital by the London Air Ambulance.

The adventure golf course has since closed its premises, stating on its website: "Sidcup Family Golf is closed today following an incident on site.

"Our thoughts are with those affected.

"We appreciate your understanding at this time and will share further updates when appropriate."

The Metropolitan Police say enquiries are ongoing and officers are working with the Health and Safety Executive.
