Woman recovering from serious injuries after being hit by a car in Wallasey

The 94 year old was found by emergency services yesterday afternoon

A car has collided with a woman in Wallasey, leaving her with serious injuries.

Emergency Services say they were called at 12:25 to St Albans Road yesterday, to a report that a black Mini Cooper Countryman car had collided with a woman pedestrian.

The 94 year old had serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, said to be an 89 year old, is helping police with their investigation.

One lane of the road was closed whilst investigations were carried out to establish what happened.
