A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a baby was injured when bricks were thrown at a bus near Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
Merseyside Police said the bus was forced to stop on East Prescot Road at around 10.10pm on Friday 30th October.
Officers said they received a report that a group of men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas had dragged a large piece of wood onto the road.
Police said bricks were then thrown at the vehicle and a window was smashed.
The force said a nine-month-old baby suffered cuts to his face and head. He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Officers attended the scene and the 15-year-old boy was arrested nearby on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.
Merseyside Police said he has been conditionally bailed pending further inquiries.
Five other male suspects were also spoken to by officers. Police said they either dispersed from the area or were taken back home.
