Two men questioned after Kirkby gym fight
Officers respond to evening disturbance in Knowsley Industrial Estate
Two men have been arrested following an altercation at David Lloyd Gym in Knowsley Industrial Estate, Kirkby.
At approximately 6.10pm on Monday 27th April, authorities were called to the scene where two men were reportedly injured during a fight.
The individuals, a 46-year-old from Brighton-le-Sands and a 53-year-old from Netherley, have been detained on suspicion of affray and are currently being questioned at police stations.
Detective Inspector Edward Barr remarked on the public nature of the incident, noting the presence of children among witnesses. The investigation is underway and officers are seeking any additional information from people who were present or have relevant knowledge.
Barr discouraged public commentary on social media, urging direct contact to aid the investigation rather than hinder it.
