Funeral of Sam Cook held in Crosby
Hundreds attended the service at St Lukes' Church
The funeral of Sam Cook from Crosby, who was stabbed to death during a night out in Liverpool has taken place today.
Hundreds of mourners attended an emotional service for the popular 21 year old at St Luke's Church in Crosby today.
So many people were eager to pay their respects, that the congregation spilled out into the church courtyard.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was among those stood outside.
Mourners looked on as Sam's coffin, which was draped in red and white flowers was carried into the church, with a bagpiper playing at the entrance.
Sam died last month after he was attacked in the basement of Empire bar on Seel Street in the early hours. He was celebrating his birthday with his girlfriend.
Police say they urgently want to speak to 22 year old Carl Madigan from Speke in connection with Sam's death.
