Artists across Lincolnshire are being encouraged to upload their work to a first of it's kind virtual gallery.
Open Art Lincs online exhibition showcases over sixty local artists, with viewers able to study each piece as if they walking around a real gallery.
The project has also began it's first in-person exhibition at Indigo Crow Gallery in Lincoln, which is running until March 2nd.
Founder Kevin Byron has big plans to expand the in-person events:
"What I'd like to do - I've got three art spaces in and around Lincoln - I'd like to transfer that to all of the towns in Lincolnshire so we've got this big stream of art exhibitions going on like no other county.
He hopes this project will make displaying art more accessible:
"There are barriers to early stage artists, to artists who've never exhibited.
"There are barriers to showing for example to do a solo exhibition can be quite costly. especially if you are not even earning a living from being an artist.
"So this has broken down some of those barriers."
Open Art Lincs have created a virtual gallery displaying over sixty local artists work - they've now brought a selection of those to the Indigo Crow Gallery in Lincoln.
This dual approach of online and in-person display aims to share the artwork with as many people as possible.
Catherine Nicholson is a Scampton based artist who's displaying two pieces at Indigo Crow:
"I think it's got huge potential because it can go worldwide very quickly.
"When it's on the wall in a gallery - you've only got a very limited number of people who can actually physically see it.
"When it's online you can have numerous people enter the exhibition without even being there."
