A 29 year old woman has avoided jail after admitting causing the deaths of two young brothers in a crash in Sutton on Sea.

Amy Sheppard, of Mumby Road, Huttoft, was given a twenty month sentence, suspended for two years, for causing the deaths of 8 year old Louie Ellis and 6 year old Mason Ellis, along with seriously injuring three other people.

Judge James House described the sentence as an "act of mercy" after Sheppard admitted causing death and serious injury by careless driving.

The crash happened in October 2023 when Sheppard's car, which Louie and Mason were in, collided with another vehicle.
