Woman, 79 and child, four, die following Grimblethorpe collision

A 79-year-old woman and a four-year-old boy have died following a multi-vehicle collision near Grimblethorpe, Louth.

The collision happened on a straight section of the A157 just after Gayton le Wold, heading towards Louth, on Sunday 15th March.

Four vehicles were involved in the collision.

The 79-year-old woman, who was from Mablethorpe and driving at the time, died a day after being taken to hospital.

The little boy, who was from Birmingham and a passenger in a different car, died on 23rd March.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information on the incident.

They say it involved a Blue Peugeot 108, a grey MG 1300, a white BMW X3, and a black Volvo XC60.
