Warnings there'll be more major flooding in Lincolnshire if extra funding's not given
More than 150 properties were impacted by flooding last week
There are claims the kind of flooding that caused extensive damage to more than 150 homes across Lincolnshire WILL happen again if the Government doesn't provide greater funding for preventative measures
Senior councillors fear such events could become a regular occurrence .
We've been speaking to Colin Davie who's county councillor for the environment.
He told us: "We're going to have to live with this."
"The Government keeps telling us climate change is real - I can tell the Government it's very real in Lincolnshire because we keep getting these events."
My message to Government is come here and visit Lincolnshire and see what's going on
"Local communities know best how to look after themselves and we should be supporting them in making sure they have all the tools they need to do so in any future event."
"We can't keep spending money investing in wind farms and solar farms and all that stuff to combat 2050 and all the targets that the Government have when we've got things happening today that need investment."
"My message to Government is come here and visit Lincolnshire and see what's going on."
"We will look at all those internally flooded properties to see if there's a common theme."
We'll make some recommendations on who needs to resolve an issue
"Was there a blocked watercourse?"
"Did something collapse that shouldn't have done that caused it."
"Then we'll make some recommendations on who needs to resolve that issue."
Meanwhile flood victims in the south kesteven area will be able to get bulky items that were damaged taken away from this week.
Items like upholstered furniture will be removed from today with white goods collections starting on Wednesday
In Boston and East Lindsey, skips have been provided in the worst affected areas
