The father of two boys who were killed in a head on collision in Sutton on Sea has paid tribute to them.

8-year-old Louie Ellis and 6-year-old Mason Ellis died after the collision in October 2023.

29-year-old Amy Sheppard was given a twenty month sentence, suspended for two years, after she admitted causing death and serious injury by careless driving.

Three other people were also seriously injured.

The court heard how she lost control of the car she was driving and collided head on with an oncoming vehicle.

“Louie and Mason had the most beautiful souls..."

In a statement, Louie and Mason's dad, Laurie said, “Louie and Mason were two extraordinary boys whose love, laughter, and spirit filled every space they were in.

“Louie and Mason had the most beautiful souls. Their kindness, warmth, and laughter drew people to them, and everyone who knew them adored them.

“As their dad, my love for Louie and Mason is endless and unconditional. They were my world, my heart, my everything. Losing them has left two enormous holes in my heart — holes that will never be filled. Their loss has deeply impacted our family’s lives, and nothing will ever be the same without them.

“Louie and Mason will always be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Their laughter, their bond, and their beautiful souls will live on forever in my heart and in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know them.”
