Traffic disruption on A1 near Little Ponton due to collision

Traffic on the A1 near Little Ponton, close to Grantham, faced disruption early this morning after a collision involving two lorries and a car.

The incident occurred at 6.20am on 20th August and resulted in the closure of the road in both directions.

While no injuries have been reported, significant damage to the central reservation has necessitated road repairs, likely extending the closure for several hours.

One lane of the southbound carriageway was reopened at 8.15am, but drivers are still advised to seek alternative routes.
