Lincoln man jailed for sex offences against teenager
He's been jailed for over seven years
A man from Woodhall Spa has been jailed for over seven years for non-recent sex offences against a teenage girl.
25-year-old Tom Heckley has been convicted of:
- seven counts of sexual activity with a child involving penetration
- one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child
- one count of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act
- six counts of possessing indecent images of children
Heckley committed the offences when he was 20-years-old in 2021.
He has been jailed for seven-years-and-two-months, given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, a restraining order, and has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
The detective leading the case, Detective Constable Kye Sykes, says he hopes this case highlights that it's never too late to report sexual abuse.
He also paid tribute to the bravery of the victim.
