We've been speaking to Reform UK's Deputy Leader about what the party hope to achieve in Lincolnshire over the next four years.

Reform won both the Mayoral and County Council elections on Friday 2nd May, meaning they'll now oversee things like transport, housing and roads in Lincolnshire.

MP for Boston and Skegness Richard Tice says they have a clear plan: "It's what I call the SAS approach," he said.

"We've got to save money, we've got to audit the finances, and we're going to sort things out.

"We've got to be honest with people about what's working, what's not, the contracts, the waste. Yeah, so that's the plan."

"We need cheaper energy. We need to stop covering Lincolnshire's agricultural farmland with solar panels.

"We don't need pylons criss-crossing our countryside. We should be using the shale gas field that's recently been discovered in Lincolnshire, for example."

Reform UK have committed to mounting legal challenges against plans for solar farms and pylons through Lincolnshire.

The Secretary of State for Energy and Net Zero, Ed Miliband, makes the final call on the projects considered Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP). However, legal challenges would cause delays.

Richard Tice also told us national issues are high up the agenda for people in Lincolnshire: "Interestingly, on the doors here around Lincolnshire, I heard much more about national issues of illegal immigration and too much legal low-skilled immigration.

"As well as obviously key issues around potholes and bin collections."
