Teenager arrested after incident reported at Lincolnshire park

Police have arrested a boy aged 16 years old after reports of a boy using a lump hammer to intimidate people in a Lincolnshire park.

The incident happened at Dame Sarah Swift Park in Kirton on Monday evening.

Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or footage to come forward.

Boston police on Facebook stated:

"We’re appealing for witnesses after reports of a boy using a lump hammer to intimidate people at the Dame Sarah Swift park in Kirton.

The incident which happened around 7.30pm on Monday 1 June, involved a boy who was seen in possession of the hammer and behaving in a way that caused concern to others present at the time.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and released on bail while our inquiries continue."
