Horncastle care home to be wrapped in record-breaking knitted scarf
The scarf has been knitted in support of Dementia UK
Tanglewood Care Home in Horncastle is set to be wrapped in a hand knitted scarf.
That's after the residents and community came together throughout November to knit in support of Dementia UK.
A Tanglewood Care Home spokesperson said, "Residents and community members of all ages have joined in, from 10-year-old Amy Simons to 99-year-old Olive Rodgers.
"Knitters can be found everywhere—at home, at the Louth Nipper, and even at the local pub—each adding their own stitches to the ever-growing scarf."
The Care Home have been organising knitting sessions, both to contribute to the scarf and for a "chit-chat and to create meaningful memories".
The sessions offered knitters free tea and coffee in a warm space, too.
Organisers said, "We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who is helping or has helped.
"This has truly become a community effort."
