Police investigate serious injuries following altercation
Police are investigating a stabbing reported outside Blundell Park in Cleethorpes this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 8.45am on 25th June, involving an altercation between two men which resulted in one reportedly being stabbed.
Both men were taken to the hospital; a 26-year-old is reportedly being treated for life-threatening injuries, while a 39-year-old sustained serious injuries.
Detective Inspector Tom Kelly assured the public that the incident appears to involve individuals known to each other, posing no wider risk.
Police presence has increased and road closures are in place on Grimsby Road from Blundell Avenue, Grimsby to Nevill Street, Cleethorpes, and on Imperial Avenue.
Authorities urge motorists to find alternative routes due to ongoing investigations and ask anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 26*87718.
