Man jailed for indecent exposure in Spalding
10-month sentence and Sexual Harm Protection Order issued
Slavcho Iliev, 34, from Monks Road, Lincoln, has been sentenced to 10 months in prison following his guilty plea to three counts of indecent exposure in Spalding.
Iliev admitted to intentionally exposing his genitals to cause alarm or distress to three separate victims on 3rd March, 17th April, and 18th April last year under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
The identification of a vehicle reported during the incidents led police to locate and apprehend Iliev. He pleaded guilty at a hearing on 11th August, with sentencing occurring today at Lincoln Crown Court.
In addition to the prison sentence, Iliev has been issued a Sexual Harm Protection Order and will be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Detective Constable Helen Rochford, overseeing the case, commended the victims for their courage: “This offender has been brought before the courts because victims had the confidence to report these incidents. It is essential that such behaviour is reported so that those responsible can be held accountable and measures can be taken to prevent further offending, helping to keep women and girls safe in our communities.”
The investigation, successfully coordinated by the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and CID, involved extensive analysis of CCTV footage and adherence to crime patterns, fostering a comprehensive understanding of Iliev’s movements.
Their concerted efforts, paired with cooperation from local businesses and partners, ensured Iliev was detained upon returning to the area, precluding further offences.
