Police say the death of a teenager at the hands of his Spalding father is a 'tragic case of a young man who had any chance of a future taken away.'

37 year-old, John Doak of Delgate Avenue, has been sentenced to 3 years behind bars for manslaughter.

It's after he admitted he caused the death of his teenage son as a result of injuries he suffered as a baby.

15-year-old, Jack Doak Mitchell passed away in 2016 from a pulmonary infection and pneumonia caused by brain damage he sustained at a young age.
