Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in Skegness.

Emergency services were called to a property in Algitha Road at around 9.50am yesterday (Monday, 18 August), after paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service reported a man had been found with injuries.

Despite their efforts, the 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of murder.

Both remain in police custody and are due to be questioned by detectives.

Police believe the people involved were known to each other.

Specialist search officers, forensic teams and detectives have been carrying out investigations at the property, and a visible policing presence is expected to remain in the area for several days.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “This is an active and busy investigation and there will be an ongoing policing presence in the area while we work to establish the circumstances of his death. We will provide further details when we have them.”
