Burglary at Scunthorpe school leads to damage and arrests

Two teenage boys were arrested following a burglary at Frederick Gough School in Scunthorpe in the early hours of Wednesday, 25th March 2026.

The incident occurred around 5.05am when the school's intruder alarm was triggered, leading officers to the scene.

Upon arrival, police found the teenagers inside the building amidst reports of laptops and furniture being damaged.

A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old were taken into custody on suspicion of burglary dwelling.

Both individuals are currently held by police as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the burglary.
