PC Andrew Cookson has been dismissed from the force without notice following gross misconduct charges.

A misconduct hearing was held at Police Headquarters in Nettleham from 5th to 6th October, where the independent panel's Chair found PC Cookson in breach of professional behaviour standards.

The panel concluded that on 3rd January 2024, PC Cookson acted dishonestly and with a lack of integrity when he attended a property under police investigation for cannabis cultivation, removing items and seeking to conceal their removal.

The conduct was deemed discreditable and an integrity breach.
