Police investigate death of man in Lincoln

It's being treated as unexplained

An investigation is underway, after the death of a man in Lincoln.

Officers attended a property on Alness Close, after a call to the Force Control Room at 9.50pm yesterday (12 February), where they discovered the body of a 51-year-old man.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been made aware and is being supported by specially trained officers.

His death is currently being treated as unexpected and investigators are keeping an open mind about the exact circumstances of the incident.

Two men, aged 40 and 49, have been arrested in connection with the incident. The 49-year-old man has been released on bail and the 40-year-old man remains in police custody.

Residents will see an increased police presence on both scene guards at Alness Close and along Newark Road, while initial inquiries are ongoing.
