Police appealing to find next of kin after woman dies at Swineshead house fire

Police have confirmed the death of a woman in her 80s after a house fire in Swineshead.
Emergency services were called to an address on Bullen’s Lane, Swineshead, Boston, on Monday (7 September 2026) at 5:37pm to a report of a fire at the property.
Lincolnshire Police said: "She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. We believe this to be the body of the 86-year-old woman who lived at the property, although formal identification has not yet taken place.
"Despite extensive enquiries, we have been unable to locate any next of kin for this woman.
"We are asking for the public’s help in locating this woman’s family members. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could help us trace her relatives and ensure they are informed of her passing.
"We are working closely with our colleagues at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue to fully understand what happened, and the investigation is ongoing. Officers will remain on scene while enquiries continue."
