Five individuals have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a series of burglaries and thefts targeting rural properties and charities across Lincolnshire.

The sentences came after an investigation by Lincolnshire Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit, which tied the defendants to 13 burglaries and three thefts totaling over £785,000 in losses.

The prosecuted members include Zamuel Mallinson, 35, who received a six-year and two-month sentence; Benjamin Barnes, 40, jailed for four years and four months; Richard Rowles, 35, sentenced to three years and three months; Jordan Howard, 29, imprisoned for two years and one month; and Ryan Mumby, 32, jailed for three years.

Another member, Jolon Mallinson, 30, has pleaded guilty to three offences and is awaiting sentencing.

The group's criminal activities included the theft of three quad bikes from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), with extensive planning and use of cloned registration plates.

Detective Sergeant Adam Petty commented on the prosecution, emphasizing the group's lack of concern for victims and praising the collaborative efforts with the CPS Complex Case Unit and police analysts.

The investigation underscores Lincolnshire Police's commitment to preventing rural crime and protecting local communities.
