New cordon up after more chemicals found in Lincolnshire
Residents near The Wolds in Waddingham are being asked to temporarily move to outside the zone
A police cordon around a property where chemicals were found in Lincolnshire earlier this week has been put back up following ongoing searches.
Residents near The Wolds in Waddingham are being asked to temporarily move to outside the zone while Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams attend to remove further material which has been discovered.
Officers say once the material is removed safely it will be destroyed near Faldingworth.
Lincolnshire Police say there is no wider risk to public, but this latest operational stage means they are asking people to avoid the area while the emergency services and specialist teams work.
A police spokesperson said: "While we believe there to be no wider risk, there will be a lot of emergency services on scene as a precaution. We want to say a big thank you to those being displaced for a second time – we know this is difficult, and we appreciate you giving us the space to safely work. Thanks also go to the local village hall which has offered their space for people to rest while this work is undertaken. We hope this will be competed in the next few hours."
