Appeal as man left in critical condition with head injury in Nettleham

Lincolnshire Police have launched an appeal after a man was left with a serious head injury in Nettleham.

Detectives haven't been able to establish what happened as the man is in critical care in hospital, unable to speak.

He was found on Scothern Road, Nettleham, on Monday 23rd February 2026 at 1:45am with his injury.

Officers have released a picture of the injured man (header image), which is not normal practice.

They're appealing to anyone who has any recollection of seeing him that night.

They say they're especially interested in speaking to anyone who travelled through Nettleham village between 12:50 am and 01:45am; anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area; and any direct witnesses.
